Irene Neuwirth

Irene Neuwirth Jewerly
at Barney's New York

Irene Neuwirth knows how to make a statement… and so does her jewelry. Starting out as a hobby jewelry enthusiast, Neuwirth created a small sample line for Barneys New York in 2000. The collection was met with great demand, throwing her stardom into an evolution of scope and sophistication. Featuring intense colors and raw, un-manufactured gem cuts that are considered signature to her aesthetic. The ocean and its raw elements is where this Southern California native finds inspiration, with stones like lapis and moonstone reflecting the oceans many hues. Her ability to create a precise balance between timeless, collectable jewelry and the ultimate statement in modern luxury is effortless. “I like simple,” Neuwirth said. “If something is too intricate, it’s overdesigned and then it won’t be timeless. For me, the simpler it is, the more beautiful.
